Then we will take you back to the consultation room to discuss your challenges with the doctor.  While you are back with Dr. Lawson, Sara and Amanda will evaluate your insurance coverage.  Since the consultation is free, by the time you have shared with the doctor all of your concerns, we should be able to discuss with you your benefits and what your out of pocket expenses, if any, will be.  Don't worry if you have no insurance, most of our patients do not.  That is why we have very affordable cash plans for our patients. 

Should you need x-rays, they can be performed right on sight.  All charges will be discussed with you in advance so there will be no surprises.  Our goal on our first day is to determine what the cause of your problem is.  If we determine you have a chiropractic problem, then and only then can we accept your case.  Chiropractic treats a condition known as Vertebral Subluxation.  When the bones of the spine go "out of place" they will impinge upon the nerves.  Science tells us the nerves control every function in the body.  So subluxations can result in almost any unwanted health condition or pain.  The x-rays tell us how many vertebrae are out of place (subluxated), how badly they are subluxated, and if the mis-alignment has resulted in arthritis, degeneration, or decay.  Dr. Lawson will utilize the x-ray to best determine and appropriate protocol to fix the subluxations.  Rest assured, most spinal subluxations can be corrected.

 Dr. Lawson will spend quite a while evaluating your films and determining your protocol.  So after your first visit, we will ask you to return as soon as possible to see your films and discuss your treatment plan with the doctor.  We will give you all the treatment options as well as discuss how your insurance may participate and provide payment plans for the uncovered portions of your treatment.  Again, should you not have chiropractic coverage, we will provide comfortable and affordable payment options for you.

Adjustments are the treatment chiropractors provide to correct subluxations.  Dr. Darrick Lawson is certified in many techniques to find the right treatment for you.  While he considers himself an "old school bone mover," he recognizes that treatment is not for everyone.  Therefore, he has studied many "soft" techniques to better serve a patient's tolerance, including activator.  We are here for you and will do everything we can to make sure your adjustment is the most comfortable treatment possible.  In addition, we utilize Chiropractic Biophysics mirror image work which results in post x-ray correction of most subluxation patterns and even scoliosis.
